James B. Evans the first was born in Peacock, Florida.
James B. Evans II was born in Groveland FL on March 13, 1916.
They moved to Barberville, FL in 1918. My Grandfather was in the sawmill business. They moved to Lake Helen in 1924, where my grandfather worked to until 1927. The Lake Helen Saw Mill closed down at that time and the family has to move back to Barberville for work. My dad ,James II graduated from the 6th grade at Lake Helen and the 8th grade in Barberville. He went to work as a carpenter at that time. He went into the service in WWII and served in Germany. After the war he came out and kept doing carpentry. When FL began requiring contractor licenses he applied and became the 11th licensed contractor in the State of Florida. He began building houses in Volusia County. Eventually he bought a well machine to drill the wells for the houses he was building around 1955. James B. Evans III began helping him after school and on the weekends. in about 1965. We have been in business since that time. My boys James Evans IV & Justin Evans started working in the business when they were twelve years old and continue to service our ten of thousands of customers. We install new wells , pumps, tanks and water treatment equipment . We take care of your water from the beginning to the end. We are dedicated to the quality and plan to continue for almost 70 years in Volusia County and surrounding counties.
